FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW DO I GET PRICING?

My pricing will vary depending on the time of the year, day of the week and location of your event. Distance is a big factor in my pricing. Please contact me with your date and location, and I will give you a quote very quickly. If you would like to proceed, I will send you a quick on-line contract with an e-sign and you're booked!

HOW DO I BOOK YOU?

After you have chosen your package are ready to proceed, ask me to e-mail you a contract. The contract will have three parts....a simple questionnaire, a short contract with an e-sign and a payment portal for your deposit.

HOW MUCH IS THE DEPOSIT TO BOOK YOU?

The deposit/retainer is 20 percent of your package. The balance us due two weeks prior to your event but you will have a client portal to make payments as you please.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU ARE ILL ON THE DAY OF THE WEDDING?

If I am ill I have a long list of photographers that I can contact that are comparable in style. But in the 12 years that I've been doing weddings, that hasn't happened once!

DO YOU WORK WITH A SECOND SHOOTER?

Yes I do but I have packages where you can eliminate the second shooter to save money. I started shooting weddings BEFORE it was popular to have a second shooter so I am perfectly capable of shooting a wedding by myself. Depending on the circumstances such as number of guests, layout of the venue and whether or not the bride and groom are getting ready in close proximity to one another, we together will determine whether it is necessary to have a second shooter!

DESCRIBE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE

I guess the best way to describe it is an artsy capture-the-moments style with loads of whimsy and fun with a touch of a vintage vibe!

WHAT KIND OF CAMERA GEAR DO YOU USE?

I use a top of the line Nikon mirrorless Z8 for my main camera and a Nikon Z7 for my second camera as well. I have a Nikon D4 as a back up in my bag. My favorite lens is a 85mm 1.4 portrait lens. My work horse lens is my 24-70mm 2.8 which always stays on one camera. I alternate a 70-200mm 2.8 VR2 and the 85 described above on the other camera. I also have an advanced off camera remote flash system for creative outdoor sunset and/or snow photos!

DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONALITY

I am very professional when photographing weddings but in reality I'm just a goofy silly person that says such silly little things to my husband that I can't even believe he responds! if you are a silly laid back person, I'm sure we'll get along! Don't get me wrong though, I take my job very seriously. In fact, I have an extreme competitive edge that makes me want to knock it out of the park every time and exceed expectations! In this day and age of social media, I'm well aware that people are viewing my work. I am married to a great man, have three kids and LOVE to travel. I love to explore new lands and meet new people. I once read a quote that said "to be a great photographer, you must love life MORE than photography". That pretty much sums me up in one paragraph!

DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH ANY OTHER GENRES?

In addition to weddings, I do a LOT of travel photography just for fun but I also photograph a fair amount of portraits. Here are some links to other web sites that I have.
